Terms of Service
1. Acceptance
By downloading or using CardBackup, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
2. The service
CardBackup is a utility that copies files between folders on your device. It is provided by Rory Sinclair.
CardBackup is intended as a convenience utility and should not be relied upon as the sole means of protecting important, irreplaceable, business-critical, or safety-critical data.
3. No warranty
CardBackup is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind. We make no representations that the app will meet your requirements, operate without interruption, or be free of errors.
4. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Rory Sinclair shall not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of CardBackup, including but not limited to:
- loss, corruption, or accidental deletion of files or data;
- failure of a backup to complete or to produce a usable copy of your files;
- any reliance on CardBackup as your sole means of data protection.
You are solely responsible for verifying that your backups are complete and usable. We strongly recommend maintaining independent copies of any files you cannot afford to lose.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the total aggregate liability of Rory Sinclair arising out of or relating to CardBackup shall not exceed the greater of the amount paid by you for the app or £50 GBP.
5. Your responsibilities
You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to copy any files you back up using CardBackup, and for any consequences of copying files you do not own or are not licensed to copy.
6. Changes to the app or these terms
We may update CardBackup or these terms at any time. Continued use of the app after a change to these terms constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
7. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Scotland. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.
